Tax Benefit
Any person or business that contributes money to their local Community Benefit Organisations via Smart Communities will receive a Section 18A certificate.*

We help local businesses increase their customer traffic by encouraging them to reward community members that care, and help community-based organisations collect more funds, through the Smart Communities app.

- Notifications and Noticeboards
Communicate more effectively with your neighbours through our Messaging Centre. This allows you to personalise your communication that is directed to specific people in your community either by street, interest groups or individually. You will also have the ability to pre-publish and release notices and messages at specific dates and times in the future. Learn More

What is a Section 18A?
Residents come together in times of need to address problems and issues that impact their neighborhood. By enabling communities to analyse, address, and prevent community concerns, Smart Communities provides a simple and convenient solution to assist communities in overcoming their obstacles and reach their goals. Smart Communities is working closely with residents, businesses and community to create a better future for all.
Is Smart Communities Section 18A approved?
Smart Communities is an approved Public Benefit Organisation for purposes of Section 18A of the Income Tax Act, and donations to Smart Communities are tax deductible.
Where do I get my Section 18A certificate?
In order to claim a tax deduction, you must hold a section 18A certificate which will be issued by Smart Communities.
